ROUTE: SC-11
DISTANCE: 194 miles

This great driving road in South Carolina is a scenic byway in the northwest portion of the state's high country. SC-11 is a fantastic scenic drive packed with mountain views, waterfalls, rivers and forests. Be sure to stop at Table Rock State Park which overlooks the rolling mountains and dense forests of the Blue Ridge region. Most of this road consists of straight driving, but it makes for a great cruising ride along gently rolling hills and scenic parks. The Cherokee Foothills Scenic Hwy is a good driving road for sports cars, as it connects with many of the state's best driving roads like Hwy 28 and US-276.
The scenic drive on the Cherokee Foothills Hwy starts in southern Oconee County as Exit 1 of Interstate 85 and runs into Cherokee County, ending after crossing Interstate 85 near Gaffney.

The drive along Highway 28 features long, sweeping curves as well as various flat segments in the valley. The smooth, rolling sweepers mixed with the gorgeous mountain state park scenery will make this an enjoyable road for spirited sports car drivers. The road pavement quality is also very good overall. For those who are looking to find driving roads in Georgia and North Carolina, Route 28 continues to be a great driving road in those states.
Start the scenic drive on Hwy 28 from the Russel Bridge near the Georgia state line. Drive 17 miles south to Walhalla, SC.

This scenic drive along US-276 splits can be started from the above-mentioned Cherokee Foothills Scenic Highway. Most of this great driving road will take you through Caesar's Head State Park and there's awesome panoramic views at the top of the drive. It's a fun road to drive for sports cars, as you'll navigate the wooded, tree-lined curves. US-276 is a great driving road in all four seasons, but the fall foliage makes autumn the ideal time to travel one of South Carolina's best scenic drives.

Sometimes you want to find driving roads that offer relaxing, scenic driving. The Savannah River Run along Hwy 28 and SC-81 offers exactly that. Drive through sections of the Sumpter National Forest with beautiful wooded scenery and its gentle, sweeping curves. The route follows close to the Savannah River. US-221 is smooth and isolated, making it an easy going cruise for sports cars and classic cars.
Start this great driving road in South Carolina on Hwy 28 just northwest of Augusta, GA. Travel north as the road changes to SC-81 to Anderson, SC.

The Ashley River Road National Scenic Byway is a great driving road in South Carolina, and is considered a national treasure. The byway offers a drive through the history of the state like no other. The Ashley River Road on Highway 61 runs parallel to the Ashley River for 12 miles, but the route we've mapped out below is a longer 51 mile drive. It's a great road to drive with a sports car, as you'll travel through orchards, small villages and plantations along the way. The Ashley River Road is lined with oaks and hickory trees that arch over the roadway, and its likely the oldest road still in use in South Carolina. Enjoy a drive through history by sports car on the Ashely River Road!
The byway begins on Ashley River Road, also known as South Carolina Highway 61, just beyond Interstate 526. Visitors will follow this road for 12 miles, reaching its termination point in Dorchester County. US-61 continues to be a great road to drive to the intersection of Hwy 78.

The Sea Island Parkway is a good driving road located in coastal South Carolina. The scenic drive connects Beaufort's quaint historic district to Hunting Island. Along this part of US 21 you'll also drive past fishing piers, wildlife viewing areas and lots of scenic areas for photos.
