This great driving road in Maine offers tremendous views of the national park. Acadia National Park has been dubbed the "Crown Jewel of the North Atlantic Coast", as it's the only national park in the northeast United States. The scenic park has 27 miles of great driving roads to enjoy and explore. Be sure to check out the nearby scenic town of Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island. There's many pull-offs on the main park road as well as overlooks that are available to take in the scenery. As with any other national park, the road pavement is beautifully maintained. It's best to time your ride early in the day to beat the traffic and enjoy one of the most scenic driving routes in Maine for sports cars!

Some of the best driving roads in Maine are along this route from Madrid to Upton. These roads feature amazing overlooks of the scenic overlooks and crystal clear lakes. ME-26 features open road scenery and traverses through Grafton Notch State Park. This is a great driving road for sports cars and Polaris Slingshot riders. To find driving roads in New Hampshire, continue northwest past the state line along Route 26 to Colebrook, NH. This is one of the best roads to take for sports cars in New Hampshire, as the road through Dixville Notch is fantastic.
Start on Rt 4 in Madrid and connect to 17 south. ME-26 will take you northwest past the NH state line.
