This is one of the great driving roads in New Mexico that can be started in Silver City, NM. Cruise along the curves through the southern portion of Gila National Forest, and north to incredible mountain scenery. The scenic drive north of Pinos Altos offers exceptional scenic driving, as most of the twisting curves are exciting for spirited sports car drivers. You'll see lush spreads of aspens and junipers in the national forest. Be sure to check out the incredibly unique Gila Cliff Dwelling National Monument at the end of this scenic driving road in New Mexico.

It's one of those scenic drives where you won't spend much time site seeing, as the drive itself is a delightful challenge, especially for spirited driving enthusiasts! It's a perfect road in New Mexico to drive a sports car, as you drive alongside the deep canyons just southeast of New Mexico's Gila National Forest. This road not only features the continuous hairpins turns, but there's also exhilarating elevation changes. The dips and climbs in elevation simultaneously offers awesome mountain views of Emory Pass. This New Mexico scenic drive along NM-152 is the best kept secret in the southwest United States for sports car enthusiasts. Take the above-mentioned Route 15 for longer scenic driving to the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. This is a fantastic drive through more of New Mexico's historic scenery.

What is the best driving road near Albuquerque? NM-536 is a great driving road in New Mexico just northeast of Albuquerque. There's beautiful scenery on this fun, twisting mountain road, and it's a great driving road for sports cars. Sandia Crest Road on Route 536 is a 13.6 mile scenic road that offers an abundance of hairpin turns as it carves its way to the top of Sandia Crest Mtn. Travelling through the Cibola National Forest, the Sandia Crest Scenic Byway takes the sports car driver from the high desert to dense forests. NM Route 78 winds down through the forest and crosses the valley overlooking grassy hills. This part of the New Mexico scenic drive will also provide the driver with vast scenery of the mountains. For a longer road trip through the best that Arizona has to offer for sports car driving, be sure to drive the nearby Coronado Trail on Arizona Route 191.
